City of Refuge Ministry is a grass roots organization with a distinct Christian flavor, headed by Pastor Marvin Rodriguez, the Church has grown substantialy since 2010 when the vision began. The first achivement was the acquisition of building where the congregation meets. The second achivement was Pastor Marvin’s response to the community’s need for food created by the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic.
Pastor Marvin’s goal is to use the philosophical teachings of the Bible for the betterment of the congregation and anyone seeking to grow his or her faith.

TO HEAVEN?
According to the Bible, yes, Jesus is the only way to heaven.
John 14:6 (NIV)
6. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Acts 4:12 (NIV)
12. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Jesus Christ came down to earth to show His love for a fallen and rebellious people and to create a way for them to enter into eternal life.
Now all He asks is for us to repent and put our faith in Him, and we will be saved.
ARE YOU READY?
Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.”
The Bible teaches that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. To those who receive Jesus, believing in His name, God gives the right to become His children. We have been born again, raised up, and seated with Christ. In addition to peace, reconciliation, and access, we have been given an inheritance as children that will never spoil or fade away.
